Social Psychologist, Educator, Health Equity Researcher

A Little About Me

I am a postdoctoral associate at Yale University in the Department of Psychology. I was also a University of California President’s Postdoctoral Scholar at UC San Francisco in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

I earned my Ph.D. in Social Psychology at UCLA. I graduated with honors and high distinction from UC Berkeley with a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Dance and Performance Studies.

A Little About My Research

My research uses quantitative and qualitative methods to understand the impact of prejudice and the importance of history to the lived experiences of minoritized people. My current research investigates the experiences of Black Americans in the healthcare system including contributors to COVID-19 vaccination hesitancy and reasons for medical mistrust. I also explore how to increase the recognition of and support for dismantling racism.

Beyond Research

I aim to fight social injustice with science and service. I am dedicated to equity, belonging, and inclusivity in my research, teaching, service work, and in how I live.

Outside of work, I love to dance, practice yoga, cook, and read for pleasure.
